Welcome to Nelly Eggsy!
Nelly Eggsy is a place where you can explore my thoughts, stories, and ideas!
Hello and welcome to Nelly Eggs. It's a brand-new website about me, Nelson.
I have been creating niche gaming websites and forum-based online communities for years. However, I never made a site about me.
Nelly Eggsy is all about me. I will use this platform to share my thoughts, stories, ideas, and random content. It will be my window to the internet!
Creating a website from scratch is not an easy task. Luckily for me, I have open-source resources and tools at my disposal to help me establish my online presence. Most importantly, I have the support of my family and friends.
I'll keep things short of telling you about my brand-new site. 🙂
Brand Identity
I commissioned an original logo from my long-time acquaintance and graphic designer, José Casal, who helped me develop the official typography and colors for Nelly Eggsy. I believe José did a great job with our branding kit.
Look and feel
Nelly Eggsy uses a modern open-source publishing platform and an open-source discussion platform. These platforms are made possible by an incredible community of open-source contributors from around the net who graciously volunteer their time and code to the project. Without the open-source community, nothing we do would be possible. We are forever indebted to those who selflessly share with the open-source community. Thank you all so much for being super awesome!
A modern content management system
After researching a content management system (CMS) platform for a long time, I chose Ghost.
Ghost's target audience is ambitious, professional publishers who want to build a business around their content. That's how it works best, which is why we use it.
A forum system for civilized discussions
I am also happy to announce that Discourse powers our new forum.
I hope you enjoy my site and what I have to offer. Happy browsing!
